Manual Lymph Drainage

Decongestive Therapy for Healthy Lymphatic System (Not Lymphedema Management)

Performed by a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist.

Manual Lymph Drainage is a very gentle manual treatment technique designed to stretch the walls of superficial lymph vessels, which stimulates an increase in their activity. It is used to mobilize lymph fluid which helps to remove excessive fluid and stagnant waste (for example, hematoma contents, bacteria, mold spores, dirt) from the body.

Manual Lymph Drainage is NOT a massage. Massage targets deeper structures like fascia, muscles and tendons, where MLD works on superficial layers like skin and subcutaneous tissue (beneath the skin).

This treatment is designed for patients with healthy lymphatic system ONLY, meaning this is not a Complete Decongestive Therapy used for lymphedema management.
